The La Crete Municipal Nursing Association was incorporated on August 26, 1957, by community members seeking to bring medical care and health services to La Crete and its surrounding area.
LCMNA is a nonprofit organization that continues to have a very active role in lobbying the government and fundraising to increase housing, care and support for our seniors.
LCMNA currently owns and operates the Heimstaed Lodge, an 80-bed nonprofit seniors Continuing Care and supportive living facility. LCMNA also manages senior and community housing units in partnership with the Alberta Social Housing Corporation.
A very active Care & Share Thrift Store is also managed under the LCMNA umbrella; it is operated by volunteers and a manager providing financial support to the Heimstaed Lodge.
LCMNA strives to help provide affordable and care appropriate housing to all clients in a caring compassionate manner, seeking to maintain the legacy of faith, love and hope.
